About Department
The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering was established in 2008 with the annual intake of 60 students in the UG programme. The intake was enhanced to 120 students from 2010.
The Head of the Department is Teacher’s Representative, who is a senior professor of the Institute. The Head is helped by a permanent administrative set up headed by a Registar (Academic) & well qualified teaching staff. The faculty of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Department & Electronics Engineers Student Association (E2SA) , who looks after all Academic & Co-Curricular activities of students.
The Department has a very rich history of its providing technical education in the field of Engineering and its achievements in a small span of years of establishment. With the support of the excellent Management of the Institute and the strong backbone of the Faculty and staff we place the department in one of the best in the Institute as well as the university in coming times.
With dynamic faculty and leaders dedicated to giving its students the best engineering education possible, Rise has gained a national reputation for its academic programs and research activities. We offer a wealth of opportunities for our faculty and students to contribute to a broad spectrum of research. Our faculties members make every effort to ensure that the students “learn how to learn” and how to become leaders and pioneers, emphasizing fundamental principles that respond to and create technological changes that challenge the exceptional ability of Rice students.
Department has 6 well equipped laboratories. Equipment in the labs have been so chosen that advanced work, project work and consultancy work can be done. Special attention is paid for developing positive attitudes, leadership, group working and safety consciousness in the laboratories, workshops, project work.
